Trend: Tights
I might as well toss out every pair of jeans in my closet. Not because I am suddenly anti-ringspun, but because I’m dedicating my legs to tights, and tights only. A bold statement, I know, but one that has a modicum of truth to it. It’s as if the hosiery powers-that-be read my mind and voila! – a veritable rainbow of tights with a few lust-worthy, subdued but still sexy staples to accent.
How to wear the fashion-forward leg coverings? This season: the brighter, the better. Hot pink injects life into a basic black shift. Barely-there purple adds sophisticated edge. Midnight blue pairs oh-so-well with orange and neutral hues in graphic prints. Now is the time to throw out the basic – read: boring – color rules and try your hand, er legs, at bold pairings. There’s nothing quite like a pair of ruby-red opaque stunners to really change your life, and your legs.
